Day 1: Addis Ababa City Tours

Day 2: Fly to Mekele Begin Danakil Desert Tours

Day 3: The Night Hike to Erta Ale

Under a blanket of stars, you’ll trek across ancient lava fields to the summit of Erta Ale. Your reward? Peering over the rim into a cauldron of furious, bubbling lava—one of only a handful of permanent lava lakes on the planet. Day 4: A Volcanic Sunrise & The Journey Home

Wake up for a final view of the volcanic caldera in the cool morning light—a completely different, yet equally spectacular, perspective. Visit the salt Lake of Afdera, Salt Mining and an Endless Afar people camel caravans, you’ll drive back to Semera, then transfer to your hotel

Day 5: Drive to Lalibela

Early departure for the city of Lalibela, 350 km away, from the plains to the highlands of Ethiopia, where you can admire a wide variety of landscapes. Lalibela is home to numerous churches carved into the rock and built underground.

Day 6: Visit Lalibela Churches

Early in the morning, you will visit the intriguing church and explore the magnificent rock-hewn churches dating back to the 12th century. As you tour the surrounding churches, you’ll notice their unique architectural specialties, despite all being carved from a single bedrock—a remarkable feat unseen elsewhere in the world.

Day 7: Flight back to Addis Ababa

After a leisurely breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, you have the option to visit a local art gallery or engage in personal activities. Later join our delightful farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
