Day 1: Addis Ababa City Tours

Day 2: Fly to Mekele Begin Danakil Desert Tours

You’ll fly to Mekele, meet your 4×4 car, and  drive into the Danakil desert. Day 3: The Night Hike to Erta Ale

Under a blanket of stars, you’ll trek across ancient lava fields to the summit of Erta Ale. Your reward? Day 4: A Volcanic Sunrise & The Journey Home

Wake up for a final view of the volcanic caldera in the cool morning light—a completely different, yet equally spectacular, perspective. Visit the salt Lake of Afdera, Salt Mining and an Endless Afar people camel caravans, you’ll drive back to Semera, then transfer to your hotel

Day 5: Fly to Dire Dawa then Drive to Harar  

Early, you will start your journey to Eastern Ethiopia by flying to Dire Dawa. Upon arrival, you will drive to Harar town, where you will observe the town’s walls with its five gates and visit the Harari cultural center. At night, you will witness the peaceful sight of hyenas being fed by men

Day 6: Visit Harar, then fly to Addis Ababa

 After observing Ras Tafari Makonnen’s house, the former king of Ethiopia, and the house of Rimbaud, the French poet, you will visit the colorful marketplace and numerous mosques. Following lunch, continue driving to Dire Dawa. Along the way, marvel at the amazing landscapes, rock formations, and the camel market in Babille, which is held on Mondays and Thursdays. Upon arrival in Dire Dawa, transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Addis Ababa. After arrival, you will attend our farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant
