Day 1: Addis Ababa City Tours

Day 3: The Night Hike to Erta Ale

Under a blanket of stars, you’ll trek across ancient lava fields to the summit of Erta Ale. Your reward? Peering over the rim into a cauldron of furious, bubbling lava—one of only a handful of permanent lava lakes on the planet. The sight, sound, and heat of the Earth’s raw power are humbling and utterly unforgettable. You’ll sleep at the crater’s edge, with the glow of the “Gates of Hell” lighting up your campsite.

Day 4: A Volcanic Sunrise & The Journey Home

Wake up for a final view of the volcanic caldera in the cool morning light—a completely different, yet equally spectacular, perspective. Visit the salt Lake of Afdera, Salt Mining and an Endless Afar people camel caravans, you’ll drive back to Semera, then transfer to your hotel

Day 5: Domestic Flight to Bale Goba

After arrival drive to Gaysay Grasslands, a flat landscape where you will have the opportunity to encounter different wild animals, including the endemic mountain nyala, warthogs, jackals, and various bird species, including endemics.

Day 6: Hiking to Sennate plateau 

Drive to the Sennate plateau, which features Afro-Alpine landscapes. Here, you will have the chance to see different flora and fauna, including endemic mice, rats, and mole rats. If you are lucky, you may also see the endemic Ethiopian wolves. The location is found near the Tulu Dimtu mountains, which are the second highest mountains in Ethiopia (4,377m), next to Ras Dashen in the Semien Mountains park, hike this mountain , overnight at camping

Day 7: Drive to Harenna forest

After morning breakfast Drive to Harenna Forest, a dense evergreen forest shrouded in clouds. Here, you will have the chance to see colobus monkeys, baboons, the endemic Menelik’s bushbuck, as well as Bale monkeys. Afterward, drive to the lodge.

Day 8: Drive to Sof Omar cave

Early in the morning, you will set out to spot lions, hyenas, leopards, and African wild dogs. After that, you will drive to the cave to visit the amazing limestone cave, which is the longest cave in Africa. You will trek into the cave as much as you can and explore the surrounding area, which is very attractive.

Day 9: Domestic flight to Addis Ababa

Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Addis Ababa. Upon arrival, you will embark on a mini city tour in Addis Ababa, which includes visiting the Museum. Later, join our delightful farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
